The RedNecks
About this Signature Line
The RedNecks have been around in the farm since we started. It was the most sought after fowl in the farm till now because of their good looks and impressive fighting skills. The baseblood of our Rednecks is the Carol Nesmith $5K line.
Over the years, the Carol blood has been mixed with other sweater blood from other sources. In 2017, I decided to call them RedNecks as suggested by a good friend as they are just an offshoot of the original.
Like other sweaters, the RedNecks are all-around fighting machines. They are normally aggressive and very deep into the game mostly dying or hurting themselves badly in combat even if they win. So I breed them towards those that have defensive moves. Now I can say almost 50% of these Rednecks can sidestep and are more defensive. Careful infusion is key to retain their phenotype hence it takes time.
Anyhow, the RedNecks is a key ingredient to make my CaRaBlades – our latest winning line thus far. Redneck has 1/4 blood in our CaRaBlades passing thereto the all-around fighting skills that is needed in today’s competition.
Because of this, Rednecks are here to stay in the farm. I normally breed broodstags for customers too as they are highly in demand.
